On the way here, I stopped off at World Market and picked up the CUTEST heart-shaped pasta, and decided to treat my hosts to dinner. I grilled some chicken strips and topped the pasta with the grilled chicken, some garlic & herb marinara sauce, and Parmesan cheese. I served it with a side of homemade kale chips, blood orange slices, and kiwi chunks. I decided that since the weather is SO gorgeous here, and the picnic area is amazing, we needed to have a picnic! So I packed it all up in some +EasyLunchboxes, and we headed to the beach!
The heart pasta doesn't look so heart-y in these pics, but trust. It was cute. We got to the picnic area and I realized I had left my camera AND my phone in the car, so we don't have any pictures of the actual picnic. It was the perfect time of day--the temperature was perfect, the sun was setting, and the sky was amazing (I took the picture at the top yesterday). We had SO much fun!
I've just got one full day left here, and I'll be heading home on Friday. Boo!! I wish I could stay forever! It's SO pretty here!!
PS: the ELB's pictured above were a gift from me to my friend I'm staying with this week. She packs lunch for herself and her husband, so I thought they'd put them to good use! This was their maiden bento voyage :) It was a great way to break 'em in!
Your picnic looks delicious, and that spot looks heavenly...wish I was there! Reusables are such a great idea for a Hostess Gift, I love it!
